From £35,000 to £47,000 per annum
Overview of daily duties
This role involves loading/unloading, checking dimensions in line with inspection processes and general maintenance of multiple machines. Liaising with the nightshift on the morning changeover and ensuring stock of consumables are adequate.
General:
- To program, set up and operate CNC and manual machines
- Cylindrical Grinding Skills
- To be able to work to fine tolerances
- Produce first-off components for inspection
- Ensure components are produced to the highest standards as per specifications and drawings.
- Inspect components during production to ensure drawing / spec requirements are maintained.
- Be able to interpret operations sheets, drawings, sketches and CAD to program and set up parts
- To clean and undertake preventative maintenance of machines
- Participate in Continuous Improvement / Lean manufacturing activities where required.
Skills / Experience:
- Experience with programming, setting and operating Studer CNC Grinders and manual machines
- Be able to read and interpret engineers’ drawings and tolerances.
- Be able to use a wide range of different measuring devices and inspection techniques.
- Familiar with Aerospace AS9100D requirements in relation to CNC grinder’s role.
- Able to work as part of a team and assist others where required.
